The Dance of Death in the former St Nicholas’ Church (Nikolaikirche, Niguliste, now a museum) in Tallinn (German Reval), is one of the most striking and monumental interpretations of the memento mori theme in late medieval Europe. At the same time, it is the most internationally renowned medieval artwork in Estonia.
